María’s research focuses on the evaluation of the Planetary Boundary Layer (PBL) height using thermodynamic information derived from balloon-borne observations across Europe. Her work aims to improve the characterization of PBL variability under different atmospheric conditions. In addition, she validates these PBL height estimates using observations from satellite missions such as EarthCARE, contributing to the integration of in situ and remote-sensing approaches for atmospheric boundary-layer studies.
